The manager leads a team ofinventory or supervisors to receive and record new stock as its delivered and shippedout Key Responsibilities: Own the inventory management from reception at hub till dispatch to customers or return to vendorsLead routine (daily or monthly) cycle countsLiaise with commercial teams over aging items needing a return to vendor or a campaign to sell themEnsure inventory processes & systems are adhered to end to endPrepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustmentsEnhance Customer and Vendor ExperienceProcess mapping as per best practices in other Jumia countriesAdoption of FiFo as a modelInstitute proper handling, movement and storing of items within the warehouseManage space within the hub ensuring it is fully utilized Job Requirements: Bachelors. Degree (Business Administration, Logistics- supply chain,) or a good degreeA certification in project management will be an added advantageBasic knowledge of finance will be an added advantageAdvanced Excel skillsMinimum of 4 years FMCG, or warehouse management experience Ability to communicate in flawless English, French, and/or Arabic (depending on base location)Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniquesExperience of supply chain management and transportation concepts: forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics, delivery performance, carrier negotiation, inventory management, SOP.Understanding of E-Commerce Direct-to-Consumer order fulfilment conceptsExcellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answerExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and leadership skillsAttention to detailSelf-Driven and great independent follow-through AbilityAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentTransportation Logistics network management, Retail or Customer Service processes and priorities We Offer:A unique experience in an entrepreneurial, yet structuredenvironmentThe opportunity to become part of a highly professional and dynamic team working around the world An unparalleled personal and professional growth as our longer-term objective is to train the next generation of leaders for our future internetventures
